What is Pinhooking

Buying and Selling

Pinhooking is the practice of buying a horse at one stage in their life and selling them at a later stage. TTM purchases weanlings to sell as yearlings and yearlings to sell as 2-year-olds.

Competitive Advantage

TTM offers unparalleled customer service with virtual communication for those that wish to remain hands-off, and full-service client relations for those that are more involved in the experiential side of the investment.
Mortality insurance assures recapping initial investment should a catastrophic injury occur, thus greatly diminishing risk. Additionally, for two-year-old pinhooks that do not meet their reserve, TTM is able to seamlessly transition them into a racing program.
With their expertise, TTM is able to place them with the most suitable trainer, for those investors wishing to continue on in an exciting racing capacity.
By providing a fixed cost for partnerships TTM avoids complex and surprising monthly bills. In-house rapports and experience allow them to create strategic partnerships with the best trainers in the country, should they transition a Pinhook investment into race training.

Service Line

  • Pinhooking minimum 10% investment
  • TTM to retain 10% ownership in each Pinhook
  • 10% procurement fee paid with initial investment
  • There will be a 5% management incentive per horse when gross ROI exceeds 25%
  • Should the reserve not be met at a sale, the horse will be syndicated for racing for
  • those wishing to participate
  • Down payments are accepted for future purchases
  • If no yearlings are purchased, investments can be deferred to weanlings
  • Existing investors have priority on all investments
